Syracuse Children’s Theatre is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We have been a theatrical training ground for the children of Central New York since 1999. We provide semester-long classes and one and two week school break camps throughout the year, all of which culminate in a production at the Civic Center - Carrier Theatre.
Through SCT's instruction and performance, students in Pre-K through Grade 12 learn the fundamentals of theatre: audition preparation, dance/movement, music, scene work, and more. SCT’s productions focus on musicals, because in a musical everyone’s contribution is equally important. Musicals combine acting with dance and song, thus giving our students more opportunities to shine in all areas.
